FAQs: CBD for Pets

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of many compounds (phytocannabinoids) that comes from the cannabis plant. These compounds have shown inherent benefits as therapeutic agents to treat a wide variety of ailments. CBD, however, is one of the most significant chemical components of these compounds and has displayed exceptional promise in human and veterinary medicine alike.

As a pet owner, what do I need to know?

First things first, CBD is NOT a psychoactive compound like THC, meaning your pet will not experience a euphoric "high." While research is still ongoing, studies have shown its possible effectiveness for the following:

  • Anxiety
  • Behavioral disorders
  • Alleviation of cancer symptoms
  • Seizure disorders
  • Diseases of the immune system.

While it is possible to give your pet more CBD than is beneficial, the most typical side effect they may endure is a serious case of the zzz's. If you want CBD to work correctly, don't overdo it. But don't be afraid to give your pet the amount listed on dosage instructors.

Can my cat take Not As Ruff or Sit. Stay. Chill Treats?

Yes! Cat's can process CBD the same way dogs and humans do. In fact, the list of animals that can take CBD is longer than you may think.

How should I give it to my pet?

The dropper makes an easy dosing tool. If your animal is okay with being given medication, squeeze the proper dosage into its mouth.

If your animal is less keen on being fed unfamiliar things, our Bacon-flavored pet tincture is undetectable when dropped over the pet's food or treats.

What is Paw's Off?

Paws Off is your pet's topical CBD solution! We have combined our broad-spectrum CBD with lidocaine and fruit extracts to scratch your pet's itch. It is an anti-fungal and antibacterial spray created to soothe skin irritated by allergies, hot spots and other ailments.
